Aquila Service Unit Gold and Silver Award Recipients
Gold Awards 2002
Silver Awards 2002
Katie has been working with handicapped children. Her goal was to bring together children who were not handicapped with children who were handicapped. Katie's goal was to provide an atmosphere that was safe, fun and educational for the girls to get a chance to see into the lives and hearts of those less fortunate than themselves. She spent time teaching the girls that children are children no matter their abilities. After learning about various disabilities and what to expect, the girls spent time with several children who were handicapped. They made crafts and played together. All of them said what a great time they had and how they were surprised that even those children severely disabled were laughing and feeling and just being kids! Katie did a wonderful job and we are all very proud of her.
Gabrielle Brown -Aquila Bridging 2002

Tiffany did a great job. We look forward to seeing more in the future!
Lisa Randall - Fisheree
Lisa Randall organized a terrific fisheree for Aquila Service Unit. She provided award certificates, patches, ribbons, bit, and fun awards all for an incredibly low price. she even had hot dogs, chips and sodas
available for lunch. Lisa was very well organized and provided a wonderful family experience for many of our girls. This idea was even more fabulous because it got a lot of the dads out there, too. My only regret is that I didn't get to see the fish that won the ugliest fish award!
